EcoFlow’s new Energy Hat have to be the dorkiest piece of headgear I’ve ever heard of — and I believe I like it? It’s a wide-brimmed floppy-ish solar hat stuffed with photo voltaic cells you could cost your telephone with. EcoFlow says it may well cost a 4,000mAh smartphone to capability “in as quick as 3–4 hours.” Sounds preferrred for casually scrolling feeds at a campsite or surviving in a sun-blasted, Mad Maxian desert wasteland.
In accordance with EcoFlow’s specs, the $129 Energy Hat’s photo voltaic cells are constructed from a skinny, versatile materials referred to as passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) monocrystalline silicon.
