I’m operating a MacPro 5,1 which might triple boot MacOS Sonoma, Ventura and Ubuntu/Linux from separate SSDs. Previously two days I couldn’t boot Linux 6.8.0. MacOS and Linux 6.50 boot high-quality.

I exploit OpenCore Legacy patcher (OCLP) on the MP 5,1 to pick the required boot drive (every OS on separate SSD).

I do the next to aim as well Linux

Choose the Linux boot drive from OCLP menu.
When display screen clears press ESC as soon as.
The Grub 2.06 menu seems
Choose Superior choices
Two Linux kernels, and recuperate mode, seem for choice on GRUB2 menu

  1. If I choose linux 6.8.0-40-generic and press ESC to show boot message the boot will get to numerous factors then hangs. An everyday sequence of messages contains: Mounting bootefi, … Completed load kernel module efi-pstore. At this level the boot doesn’t proceed , the machine hangs for about 30 seconds then the display screen goes clean.
The followers ramp up pace for two seconds then cease and the machine simply shows a clean display screen. I’ve to press the ability button for about 5 seconds to modify off the machine.
  2. If I choose linux 6.5.0-45-generic the machine boots absolutely, I can signal on and all hooked up screens show.
  3. If I choose linux 6.8.0-40-generic (restoration mode) the machine boots absolutely, I can signal on and one hooked up display screen shows – the opposite screens are clean.

Any solutions on how I diagnose and repair the 6.8.0-40 boot drawback? I can work completely high-quality with 6.5.0 however the boot course of is inconvenient.

Thanks
